🖐🤎🏡 I formed this hamsa dish using the hand-built method with dark brown stoneware clay, then textured with a beautiful texture from my studio and fired to bisque. After taking it out of the kiln I glazed it with lead free, food safe glaze and fired it for the second time at a higher temperature in my kiln at my studio.
The bowl measures about 1 inch tall and about 5.25" long and 4" wide.
This sale is for the ceramic hamsa ring dish shown above: ceramic hamsa jewelry dish, handmade ceramic hamsa jewelry dish, handmade khamsa dish, soap dish, hamsa tealight holder, khamsa protection (Item #2413).
My initials and the item number are carved on the back of the bowl.
You can use it for your rings and small jewelry -- it's food safe, so you can use it for olives, nuts, berries, candles, soap - anything you think of!
Color: Shades of Brown and yellow
Materials: Dark brown stoneware clay, high fire glaze.
Measures: 5.25" length
4" width
1" height

The Hamsa hand is an ancient Middle Eastern amulet that protects against the “evil eye.” It is a protective sign and brings its owner happiness, luck, health, good energy, and good fortune.
Five (hamesh in Hebrew) represents the five books of the Torah for Jews. In the Jewish religion, the Jewish hamsa hand also symbolizes the Hand of Miriam, the sister of Moses and Aaron. Although the hamsa hand has been symbolic in Islam and Judaism for centuries, archaeological digs provide evidence that the hamsa predates these religions and originated with the Phoenicians.
Since all my items are glazed at high fire temperatures, the colors will remain vibrant for the life of the piece.
