🏡🌱🧡🌞 I formed this lovely orange double pomegranate from white earthenware clay in the hand-build method, textured it with various stamps and objects in my studio, then fired it to bisque. I glazed the pomegranate and fired it a second time at a higher temp. to 2145 degrees Fahrenheit. I added a smaller hand-built pomegranate for extra sweetness in the center, and a little bird to add to the charm! Beads and a wire for hanging finish it off!
This sale is for the orange ceramic pomegranate wall decor shown above: Ceramic pomegranate wall decor, abundance decor, prosperity charm, Mediterranean decor, housewarming gift, fertility charm, pomegranate art (Item #3772).

The word pomegranate is “rimon” in Hebrew. This remarkable fruit is rich in symbolism and there are specific references to the pomegranate in the Bible. King Solomon is said to have designed his crown based on the “crown” of the pomegranate. On Rosh Hashana, it is traditional to eat pomegranates because the pomegranate, with its numerous seeds, symbolizes fruitfulness. “May it be Your will, Lord our God and God of our forebears, that our merits increase like the seeds of a pomegranate.”
In the Jewish tradition the pomegranate symbols abundance, prosperity and blessing, fertility and beauty.
This makes a beautiful gift for a Bar-Mitzvah, Bat-Mitzvah, a wedding, a housewarming gift, or for any occasion.
