Like and follow www.facebook.com/kerenorhandmade kerenorhandmade on Instagram I formed this lovely double Star of David combination using the hand-built method from white earthenware clay. I rolled it out & textured it with various stamps and objects in my studio. After firing the 2 Stars of David to bisque, then I glazed the large one with cobalt blue and the small one with a white glaze and fired them for the second time to a higher temp. of 2145 F. degrees. To complete the look, I glued a beautiful silver tone magen david charm, and silver-white ribbon for hanging. My initials and item number are carved on the back. This sale is for the Cobalt blue ceramic Star Of David wall art shown above: Ceramic blue Star Of David wall art, Star of David wall decor, Star of David ornament, Hanukkah ornament, Jewish home decor, Jewish wall art (Item #3149) The Star or Shield of David (Magen David in Hebrew) originated in ancient Jewish tradition. Some believe that the six points of the star represents God’s rule over the universe in all directions: north, south, east, west, up and down. Others believe that the two triangles, which point in opposite directions, are symbols of the duality of human nature or the relationship between God and man. This makes a beautiful gift for a Bar-Mitzvah, Bat-Mitzvah, Jewish wedding, a housewarming gift, or for any occasion and comes in a nice gift box with my card.
